Diversity of events adds flavour to Eid celebrations
The diversity of live entertainment and activities organised across Qatar added piquancy to the festive mood of the entire nation’s observance of Eid Al Adha celebrations yesterday.
Over a dozen locations which hosted events and activities as part of Eid Celebrations organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) saw huge number of footfalls yesterday as people made their way to the venues to spend the first day of Eid Al Adha holidays.
A little past noontime, the Mall of Qatar’s Oasis Stage started attracting crowds to its series of shows which started earlier as expected with Theatrical Circus Group who delighted the audience with a mish-mash of impressive performances.
The 12-member troupe presented varied acts which ranged from freestyle football and Cyr wheel performance to acrobatics and magic tricks which delighted hundreds in the audience. The 30-minute show played three times yesterday and will be shown again today at Al Khor Mall and restaged at Mall of Qatar tomorrow.
Mall-goers also enjoyed the roaming shows while young children were thrilled meeting their favourite Baraem characters in person.
